My grandmother was a big fan. I'm surprised he was only 81, he seemed to me to belong to an older generation, perhaps because granny was a fan. She'd be 122 now

Did he not sing with the Beach Boys at one time ?
Yes he did. From December 1964 to early March 1965 he was a touring member of the Beach Boys, filling in for Brian Wilson, playing bass guitar and singing falsetto harmonies. ... Campbell played guitar on the Beach Boys' 1966 album Pet Sounds, among other recordings.
I was a teenager and saw him in concert twice in early 70's. Had all his albums and knew the words to all the songs. He was also a session musician and played with many bands/singers.
So sad that he was suffering with Alzheimers, but no longer suffering...RIP Glen - thank you for the music.

We had a big Glen Campbell tribute on the jukebox last night in the pub!

Amazing man so few real talents like him now it seems. My dad used to have his music on all the time so I grew up as a fan. A true loss for fans. But glad he is free of a horrible illness rest in peace glen. And many thanks
