Hello All.
I have come across this tracker system , and wondered if any of you out there have got one ? Although it states tackle ( as in fishing ) it can be used in dozens of others things , like caravans etc etc. Is it as good as it sounds?

We have bought TWO of these trackers one for the caravan and one for the Car,. They are absolutely fantastic, .. it sends you a text as soon as the van / car or is moved even a couple of feet, so you can trace it even before it has left your drive or storage yard. Follow it via gps on Google maps....We Definately recommend buying one or two ..Just because they say they are for fishing tackle, don't let that put you off..they can be used in almost anything that you can hide the device in.

So (just to clarify), from reading the T&C, the total purchase price is £128 (£60 initial plus 4X £17), and thereafter £3.99 plus cost of (any) text messages each month?

Yes ... but no... if you join their Facebook site you get it at discounted price , £50 then £14 for 3 months.( if you want to do it that way ).then IF you use their SIM card it is £3.99 pm plus 8p per texts( if used) and you get a tube of smart water,( free subscription 1st year , £15.99 after that ( should be £19.99, again if you want to continue to subscribe).   But as we bought TWO we got the 2nd a bit cheaper because we didnt need the smart water, and both sims for £5.99 pm. ... The best thing to do is go on FB site and contact Andrew , he is brilliant and will go through everything with you..

Sorry , my mistake , it will be FOUR months not Three.. and I think i am right in saying the whole lot for the two was £50 x 2 initial payments plus 4 × £26 monthly, which works out a hell of a lot cheaper with this discount ...i forgot to add the Facebook group, it is

caravan & motorhome security & theft awareness.

We have now also bought TWO trackers, and at the moment I can only say they are as good as they sound, we have tried it out in the car, and it sent me a text within 20 seconds. So pleased we have bought them , ( for peace of mind ) but I hope we never have to use them for real. Another thing we like is that IF something is stolen ( with the tracker in it ) and the police want to find it, you can input the coppers mobile number and they will get live updates via Google maps...and hopefully get it back within hours..

Why would you want a tracker in car or caravan unless it's a high value vehicle & tracker is insurance requirement? If car or caravan is stolen then a phone call to cops is going to result in about the same response as if your house is burgled, ie we might call round in a weeks time.

So all a tracker might do is locate caravan which might be in a location that cops cannot cannot approach without a full swat team which they are not going to do for one caravan. So for your money you are only going to be able to make a claim for your car or caravan through the normal insurance channels. All the tracker might do is help your insurer with eventual recovery of a caravan you would not want back anyway due to the state it would be in.

Because we can...
Do you leave your house / car / or caravan unlocked when you go out?.
I bet the answer is NO, because you don't want them pinched or broken into. Our car and caravan might be old , but to us they are priceless. We will do anything to hinder them being stolen and to help us recover them ..prevention is better than a cure..plus this tracker alerts us before it is moved..

But each to their own.
