Not selling or buying, but thought might be a good place to ask. I've got a halfords / Thule roofbox I've had about 6 months. It didn't come with a key, but has always worked with the key from my old roofbox. Used it plenty of times and all has been well. Today, I've opened it (fine) packed it, and it won't lock. The key won't turn at all or come out. I've checked the red tabs at the side locking mechanisms, and it's not that because it's not even turning that far. Any tips? Cheers

Someone I used to work with swore by graphite powder for lubricating and loosening stubborn locks, rather than things like WD40; I guess you'd have to puff it in somehow. Good luck with that situation! A local locksmith, if there is one, might be able to supply some, or help in another way.

Sorted. Brother in law went out to it, I don't know what he did, he doesn't know what he did, but it's working. Odd. I can see myself having everything locked in when I get there lol. I might pop to halfords and get the right key before I go. Just in case

Lol we've had the roofbox locked with all our stuff inside once when turned up on campsite, something had slipped down and caught the lock bits. Thankfully it was only one side, we managed to prise it open enough and put a long handled peg remover in and pushed offending item out of the way.

Oh's arms were flapping about lol so funny but worrying to
