Dundee also has a large Morrisons with a large car park just off the A90 road out in the direction of Forfar.
Forfar has a good Lidl, Aldi and large Tesco as well as local shops. There's a butchers in Castle st. Ewarts (D&A Kennedy) that sells the best Forfar Bridies and pies in town.
Lidl & Aldi are on the same road as the CAMC site and are easily accessible. Tesco might not be so easy with a large outfit.

I'm tired of reality, so I'm off to look for a good fantasy.
Are you staying at the C&MC site in Forfar? I've stayed there a couple of times. V good site, though I didn't find it very relaxing. The town centre seems to have a become a bit shabby, and there was quite a bit of building going on when I last visited. Still, it has reasonable shopping.
I'm off down to Carlisle & Lake district in a couple of weeks so I'll be down that way. I might even stop off to buy Bridies for lunch.

Thanks, we will be staying at the site at Lettershaws for a couple of days. Are there no shops at Abington? We don't normally stop between sites.
Abington is just a one-street village, has small shops for essentials, no big supermarket. Fuel at the nearby M-way service station.
If you need to stock up, there's a big Tesco on the bypass around Dundee, off one of the roundabouts.
Just along the M74 after the turn off for Lettershaws is Lesmahagow (the Gow), at the top of the slip road for the Gow is a largish Tesco with Petrol Station. Could refuel there for the onward journey.
