Just want to let people know, who remember his posts or met him in person, John in Leeds, a member here since 2004, passed away last week. I met him on ukcs meets from 2011 onwards, and have camped with him many times since. He was very knowledgeable about all things outdoors and would always help out with advice when needed. Couldn’t have met a nicer chap, always had a good word for everyone. We’re going to miss him very much. Condolences to his family. RIP John. x

Sad news indeed missE. As you may remember I met him on a few meets in recent years and the last time I was at Willow Lakes I spent a lovely couple of hours in his caravan one evening chatting to him and his mate. He was a lovely man and I'm sure he'll be missed by everyone who camped in his company. RIP John x

I never met him but his username is familiar to me so it's both shocking and sad to hear he's died. Makes you stop and think, doesn't it?
