I went to a new (to me) caravan dealers to buy some more toilet fluid. I though i'd try a different type, and was looking at bottles of Elsan, comparing price per litre etc on the differing sizes against what i usually use.
They had some medium bottles priced up, and some much larger bottles unpriced. So, i wandered over to the girl on the cashdesk, who i estimated to be around 16 years, and asked how much the big bottles were.
She was flumoxed at this mind blowing request, and called over another girl - much older i deduced, at maybe sixteen and a half, explaining she was new to the job.
Fair enough, though she was operating a till. Which suggested she had at least a few brain cells.
So i explained to the second girl that i was looking for the price of the large bottles of Elsan, thrusting it to her, barcode forward, saying the smaller, medium bottles were priced, but not these.
She sighed, walked over and got a medium bottle off the shelf, scanned it till the price came up, and said her mate would do the transaction as she walked away.
I never did get the price for the large bottle in my hand, but i was sorely tempted to go get a spare, as they were so cheap!
