After the weather disaster that was Easter the lovely weather we've had this weekend will have given a much needed boost to the tourism industry.

Hopefully these last three days won't be our summer and we'll have more days like this.

I don't know what happens to you when you get old. Apart from getting wrinkly of course. I used to love the hot summers but I now find the extremes of weather too much. I had to go out to do some shopping today and the shop was stifling and too busy. I was glad to get back in the car and get the air conditioning running. Now back home and it's quite a relief. Too hot for me.

Just got back from 4 nights up at Broomfield Farm at Brackenfield.

To be honest great weekend, but not to many on site, as far side was still very soft uner foot.
So 5 vans 2 tents. To VW in next field.

Great time.

We have used our south facing garden in sunny Shropshire!
Had a drive out to Ludlow food centre on Friday in the convertible to stock up for bbqs!

We will probably get the van out next week for a few days.
Its been lovely, hope pubs cafes etc have seen good business after d4eadful winter!

Good luck with that one! Fortunately no such problems here anymore, our son, the youngest, is nearly 35, married, and moved out years ago. Our oldest daughter has all those problems as she has a 16 year old. Her oldest two are working, so she's been through it twice already!

Still not away!!!!....

Still waiting for the new tug to arrive - should have been here mid to end of April!!!

Cancelled one set of holidays at work thinking it'll be here ready for beginning of May (B/H week)....

Just hoping it'll be here for the May / June B/H week now...

Just back from Bridge House campsite at Lechlade on Thames and there were no kids, skateboards or walkie talkies...except for the wardens. A good time was had by all

This one was on a ride on mower and insisted I moved my car because despite having the whole field to play with he wanted to mow the patch my car was sat on

I had not long arrived and parked my car where I normally park it, just in front of the pitch while erecting the tent, and then I move the car onto the pitch. He insisted I moved it onto the pitch there and then. Thankfully the pitches are fairly large so I had room to do that without jabbing my car with flaying poles but it was a bit annoying since there was only two or three other units on the site. All you need when first arriving at a campsite is an officious warden telling you, 'You can't do that there 'ere!

He then spent the entire afternoon riding up and down on the mower and it didn't look any different at the end of the day than before he started apart from tyre tracks where the mower had been!

The owners of the site are fantastic though and it still remains one of my favourite sites.
