We where once woken up at around 4.30am buy the people on the next pitch having a blazing argument, someone had forgotten to empty the toilet cassette the day before, and elderly granny had been and used it during the night and the contents had leaked out over the bathroom floor, which wife had then sleepily steped in.

The entire area was woken up by the shouting and foul language, the same people also got into trouble for leaving their dog locked in their caravan on a hot summers day whilst they went out. The wardens ended up ringing the RSPCA, then assisted them to gain entry through the slightly open roof vent. They were about the worst neighbours we have ever had on a site in the 35years we have been Camping and Caravanning.

We have had some laughs though, mainly at couples making love very loudly, in their mist of passion they appear to forget that they have virtually no sound proofing privacy, and l remember well our children trying their best ' to try and wake those honeymooners up Mum because they where having nightmares!'

Well I'm guilty of noise and bad language too - that was the morning when my neighbours decided to leave early and removed my guy ropes as well as their own (they had put their guys onto my pitch!) to pack up to leave when the gates opened at 7am. In a two man, one entrance tent, this is really scary when you wake up with your tent collapsing around you and my dog was not happy either, but he was awake enough to get me out!

We moved house last year and did all the research, we went on the cul de sac at various times and it was so quite, we moved in and 3 days later the Neighbour ( a lady on her own ) decided to have her music on loud, it was only 9pm so we didn't mind but it went on till gone midnight, eventually i went round and knocked on her door but got no answer, the next day i saw her in the garden and mentioned it and she said sorry, we thought that would be the end but no, following weekend same thing, Again i went round but no answer, when it happened a third time i didn't bother knocking i went outside and shouted at the top of my voice " can you turn the music down we are trying to sleep" all the other Neighbours must have heard me, it worked for a few weeks but then she started again, in the end we reported her to the Council and not had any problems since.
