Bordeaux in 33 are introducing Crit' Air in the city later this year. The locals won't bother buying one as it is almost impossible to penetrate into the city by car. Many use the park and ride schemes which make Crit' Air stickers redundant.
The city council is currently controlled by the Green Party and someone with a beard, sandals and muesli addiction has realised that the pleasure boats that visit the city have no DPF filters or engine management systems and pump out more Nitrox Oxide particles than a thousand cars. So, they are planning to ban water craft from docking in the town quays, which it has been pointed out, will cost the city around €4 million in lost tourist revenue.
