I wouldn't go so low as to ask my wife for money. If she offered it, fair enough, which she does when I need a bit of help. What's happened to manly pride - sounds a bit of a sponger to me.

I reckon it's about what works for you, in your marriage, and clearly this isn't working for the OP or she wouldn't have posted this thread.

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter whether anyone on here agrees or disagrees with you (although it makes for an interesting debate and sharing of opinions), you obviously feel aggrieved towards your partner. And that's for you to work out (or otherwise) together. There's an obvious difference of opinion on financial matters and it's not going to go away without a bit of communication and perhaps even support on wider issues. IF you want it.

On the other hand maybe you just needed to vent your feelings and frustrations, like we all do from time to time. I hope you're feeling a bit better about things now.
