Yep, the weather was one of the reasons why we stopped camping in the uk back in 1978, since then it’s always been a fortnight campings in the South East of France, not every year, but more often than not.

Humph! Abroad is out 'coz I can't get insurance any more. PLUS we just spent a silly amount of money for a caravan. I SOOOOOO miss my tent.

Let's face it, we wouldn't have such a green and pleasant land if we didn't have our current climate and our unpredictable weather. We have much better clothing etc. to deal with our unpredictable weather than we ever did in the past when a lot of us managed and enjoyed our camping.

the first time we went to Lanzarote to a place where it is hot and sunny most of the years it was a dry stony place with no cows or sheep .pigs, a bit boring Now here you see the greenery ,yes you get bad weeks and the good ,that is why we spreed our holidays from march to september
