A few days ago their son was saying on tv news how poorly his dad was and he was very worried about him, yesterday the old chap appeared on tv dancing about like a nitwit I think they are lapping the publicity up and hoping for some compensation.

A few days ago their son told the news his Dad had early stages of dementia, that he didn't want people to think badly of his Dad. He has been in a very strange situation, which I imagine most people will never have to experience. Be kind.

What we need are some reversible hats...black and yellow on one side and yellow on the other. Then, if you are not feeling well you can stick the black and yellow hat on and everyone keeps out of your way, and once you feel better again you reverse it to the yellow side and everyone knows you have recovered...would work a treat at the checkout!

I find the cruise ship tales rather worrying, just how do these bugs get aboard and spread so quickly?
Friends have been on a cruise recently and she, along with 25% of the passengers, had norovirus.
Yes, you sometimes hear tales about residential homes and hotels having viruses, but more about cruise ships.

It's hard to imagine 1 person with a virus aboard a ship managing to infect thousands of people.

The 'one person' won't, they will infect maybe a handful, then this handful will infect a number of handfuls of their own. A bit like a pair of rats or rabbits producing a squillion young in a year. The original pair will be gt.gt.gt. grandparents to the last lot come the year end.

I think it's because they are all in such close proximity to each other, plus the unhygienic will be infecting the huge buffets the cruise ships serve.

I would always wipe the tops of the buffets before sitting on them.
