Is anyone else having difficulty contacting The CCC? I have a booking in May and would like my deposit back as the site is obviously shut but despite repeated emails to them I still haven't heard back apart from automated responses. Their phone number has a recorded message with no opportunity to speak to anyone or leave a message.
If you have a booking on our system between now and the end of May, there is no need to contact us. To make things as easy as possible for our members, we will contact you to rearrange your booking for a later date or to offer you a full refund."
Things probably will be a bit slow at the moment as there are probably hundreds of people trying to do the same. According to the magazine which came yesterday, head office has been closed and they are down to 50% of their staff, who are working from home. I doubt whether phone lines are being manned, and if they are they are probably swamped.
I've started making provisional bookings with independent sites from mid June onwards. Some take a deposit, some don't. But the deposit is good for a year if i cant make the dates for any reason. (the main one being the obvious).
