Just wondering if anyone can advise on the current rules in Wales please. Looking to possibly book a holiday in September but not sure if this will be possible. I know that you could only travel up to 5 miles if you live in Wales but wondered what had changed recently?
We're looking to book a cottage rather than camp and bookings are open and we've found a couple of places we like. However, holding off at the moment due to uncertainty!
------------- 2024:
February: Broadstone Park, Coleford
March: Bucklegrove, Rodney Stoke
Easter: Llandrindod Wells, Powys
May: Carmarthenshire
July: Dorset Volksfest + Wilksworth
August: Gloucestershire Vintage & Country Extravaganza
August BH: TBC
September: Undecided
October: Bull Bay, Anglesey
It's all speculation at the moment, but if caravan sites and other tourist accommodation are given permission to open, then it stands to reason that the 5ml limit would no longer be in force. I have a break in Anglesey already booked for September - fingers crossed!
------------- Always edited for sloppy typing - when I spot it!

Yes, it's difficult at the moment not being able to plan properly. I'm going to hold off for a bit longer and hope what I'm looking at doesn't get booked by someone else in the meantime. One property on Sykes cottages has already been booked for the week we have off!
We went to Anglesey a few years ago in our touring caravan. Loved the area so fingers crossed you get to go.

We will be going mid/late August once Scottish schools have gone back, but have decided not to book anything until a couple of weeks before we intend to go.
ST1100 - fingers crossed you can go and with it being a friend's it makes it so much more flexible.
I'm now wondering what to do re: a break in August as well as September, especially given the fact that Leicester has been out back into lockdown. The county where we live is also on the list of those that are also at risk of local lockdown.
We haven't been anywhere, apart from a fortnightly shop, collecting meds from the pharmacy and a few very local walks with our dog in the area we live. This virus hasn't gone away and the fear is there that some counties will be back to square one in the very near future.

daveyjp - Scotland seems to be doing so much better in controlling the virus than England. We were supposed to have done the NC500 over 3 weeks this year but now postponed until 2021. We absolutely love Scotland. Hope you get to go.

the 5 mile restrictions are relaxed on monday 6th july but depends on fridays statement from the first minister after a second wave in angelsey and wrexham meat process plants caravan parks will open from the 13th july but must be self contained ie toilet/shower no toilet blocks on sites will be open.
