I think it is great that people are out and about, spending money, stretching their legs and spreading their wings. All the things that make Camping and the outdoors so important to us.

People just need to observe common sense, and behave.

It's actually the school 6 weeks holidays and everywhere gets busy, this year more than others as people are staying at home rather than going abroad.

personally i'm looking forward to getting away, i've had 2 days off this year and that was last Thursday and Friday, When we went to the Wirral, had a great relaxing time and blew the cobwebs off the van.

Stay safe everyone

No surprise there. Just don't broadcast where the quiet places are!

The sheep like to flock to the same places. Despite Devon and Cornwall being under siege at present, my heavenly corner of Dartmoor is totally unaffected by any of it. OK, my trips to the beach are on hold for another month, and places like Torquay, Teignmouth, Paignton, Brixham and Dawlish would not see me at the very best of times anyway, because I can’t stand them.

On Thursday, my wife and I will be walking the dog on open Moorland and having a picnic over looking around 200 square miles of some of the most glorious scenery in the country, and with a bit of luck, we will see no other human being. Why? Because the ”Grockles” always head for the same places, and thems the places we don’t go.......I do have a big 4x4 Pick Up though, which helps. 😀👍.

Happy holidays, we ain’t too bothered about going away........We LIVE in Devon. I do miss our 3 or 4 trips to beautiful Brittany every year at the moment, but we are not ones to “ take the risk”. Just don’t see the point.

Snowdonia was bad. Police turning cars away at 8am, hundreds of fines. Cars towed away. People feeling entitled to do what the f*** they want and sod everyone else.

I can't understand why some people are so focused on holidaying in Devon and Cornwall. I know there are some beautiful places but there are lots of wonderful and interesting places all over the country. We have miles and miles of coastal areas to visit and lots of inland places to walk, Derbyshire, Yorkshire Dales, North Yorkshire Moors, Staffordshire Moors. So why the obsession with Devon, Cornwall and the Lake District.

We have had some great holidays in Norfolk, Lincolnshire, North Yorkshire.

Whenever a band of rain comes in off the Atlantic the first place that gets it is the West / South West / Wales.

Norfolk and Suffolk is one of the sunniest and driest places in England.

We have just had a fortnight of mainly good weather at Saltash, spent many days at Seaton beach where there was plenty of space, rocks, crabs for Harry the Hound and dulse for OH.

no, lunch time we arrived. all the shops were open and strictly operating to social distancing guidelines, the cafe`s had well spaced out tables and it was a very relaxed few hours. we ordered our food via an app and it was left on the end of the table for us to sort out ourselves.

Hate huge expanses of sand (east coast), love rocky coves (west country and Wales).

True, Mrs Bonce - for me, a beach without rocks is like porridge without salt.

Yes, exactly. Devon and Cornwall are really horrendous places to visit. Please go to Norfolk, Staffordshire etc, etc.........Roll on September, when we have the most wonderful place to live in the U.K. back to ourselves..............I would live nowhere else.

The beaches of Staffordshire must be amazing. 👍😀
