Anyone come across this website or know anything about them?
I ran a little website for a year and took it down a few months ago. This eve I was researching the name I used as I wanted to use it for something totally unrelated.
This website has taken photos from my old website, inc pics of my child, and used them to sell a tent. My tent. A tent they can’t possibly have.
I’ve tried using their contact form but the recaptcher thing doesn’t work and surprise surprise there is no other contact info.
Any idea how I can get this taken down?

I have just the contact tried the contact form. Agree it does not work.
Very dodgy, would not deal with them.
Sorry you lost the URL, but if you did not retain it, you have no case.
I do not know the legal situation regarding the use of your images, but others may be along to help.

I just took a look at the site too. A bit worrying that it seems very difficult to find out any more than is on the website, or who owns the site. I wouldn't trust them or deal with them.

I'm not sure about the images either, but there must surely be some copyright infringement of some kind I would have thought.

Looks dodgy as hell.

Do you still have the registration of that domain or did you give it up? If the former you will have a strong case to get redress. Did you take down the site in it's entirety & cancel any hosting? If not it could have been hijacked. Sometimes these spoof sites will hijack a domain or insert themselves in a sub-folder so the host domain is unaffected.

It looks like it's being hosted/sub-hosted by Cloudflare with an IP suggesting it's on a data centre shared server in the USA (reverse IP gives different location results depending which tool you use - Kansas, Dallas, San Francisco) & there are several other, probably unconnected, sites on the same IP with. Cloudflare would be my first port of call.

First thing to do is contact Nominet who are the UK registry for domain names, and explain the domain name is being used for illegal purchases ( it is a now scam website ) and also that they are using your copyright etc. They will be very helpful https://www.nominet.uk/contact-us/ On top of the fact the domain is being used to scam people, it also fails their security checks so they will probably cancel it anyway but it may take a while without your complaint too ("Nominet was not able to match the registrant's name and/or address against a 3rd party source")

Also contact Cloudflare who host the website on one of their IP addresses (172.67.172.22) they may not be very helpful but worth a try

Good luck, hopefully Nominet will pull the domain name
