Remember when you could buy the powder, shampoo, conditioner etc in Boots? I wonder why you can't any more. I used to like the golden colour.

Golden? I turned pink! Felt cool in the 70s when no one else was pink but pink’s quite common now. Haven’t looked for the henna range but thanks for the reminder of the days of loon trousers.

Lots of different colours - to get a nice brown I use pure henna followed by a darker colour -

Its a faff but the shine, colour and lack of the not so nice stuff that you get in other dyes makes it worth it.

Follow the rules re:use organic shampoo beforehand and dont shampoo out

Pink would be fun but this is a nice rich brown !

I think it might depend what colour your own hair is? Mine was fair but silver at the sides, and the hair absorbed it differently - hence the pink.
As for the loons - no, Mrs B. No photos! Thankfully because they were yellow, I was 5’10” & very skinny, I must have looked like a beanpole.

Thats why I pre-colour with the pure henna as Ive lots of gray and then apply a darker dye a couple of days afterwards -as I said a faff !!
