They are doing 56 to 59 now. The online system is good but you may have to have a few goes as you pick a time for the 2 vaccinations and they go quickly.
Got the letter couple of weeks back, on a Monday, and made the booking (for both 1st and 2nd dose) online a couple of hours later, I could have chosen ANY day any ANY time I wanted, no sign of bookings filling up! Went to mid afternoon appointment on the Thursday in the pop-up Vac centre set up in a local office block and think I was only one there, even had multiple staff 'fighting' over me as to which one would give me the jab (sadly don't think it was they found me so attractive, more they were bored and wanted to break boredom!). Chatted with the lady doing jab and commented on lack of people, and she said it gets busier after working hours!
Now I'm in the burbs of west London, there's no shortage of people around here who don't work, so expected a better Vac take up than my experience, but then again it's mostly BAMEs in this area who don't seem to want to take the Vac!

I think they are being really broad with their underlying health issues! I have what I would describe as mild to moderate asthma that is very well controlled. On the list of priority groups it says that asthmatics are only considered if they have severe asthma and are taking oral steroids (not inhaled steroids). However, there is a little clause that says that if you have ever had an emergency hospitalisation due to asthma or other lung related conditions you are also eligible for the vaccine. I had one emergency hospitalisation for my asthma about 25 years ago which must be why I was called for the vaccine, even though it was such a long time ago and I haven’t had any problems in recent years.

Yep, got ours done at our local civic hall this evening, I was quite impressed with the set up, we were in and out within 15 minutes job done.
Me 61, and the Mrs 59, it was the AZ Jab.

I had mine done on Thursday the 11th i'm 52 round our way they are on 50/55 now.
My appointment was a 1710 and they stopped at 1730 so I asked if the had any left over that my wife might be considered, they took her details and phone her at 1730 and offered her the jab as well.
We both had the astrazeneca vaccine and to be fair we were both rough for 2 days, but all ok now
