Just received, today, the OLPRO air awning that I won on the Christmas draw. Fantastic, thanks to all at UK Campsite and OLPRO.
Just need to be able to get out with the van and try it.

I could do I've got the space, but if I'am going to get the van out of storage I would sooner take in on site for a few days, there's plenty of sites around here.

I was just thinking of being miles away on site, for some part of it to fail, or be missing, as its unused. I would be looking to maybe drag the van forward for half an hour, and at least try it inflated before setting forth. A mate had a valve unusable when he landed on site a couple of years back.
Yea I understood your point, a good one at that. Its just whilst its in storage not sure how I would explain bringing it home during lockdown. Once lockdown is done with we likely want to get the van out and use it.
When I first bought the Vango the first time I used it one of the beams leaked, but being away seemed more chilled out and we had all day to phaff about with it. Sometimes, when there's only me and OH, we don't bother too much with an awning. We always carry a lightweight, what I refer to as a sports awning, you know the kind of thing, nylon, runs up the rail with 2 fibreglass poles, just somewhere to keep the walking gear.

I meant try it at the storage place - only if it were possible, obviously. We have a regular awning, (not air) and what you would call a canopy/shade awning - essentially just a roof with limited sides, to keep the sun off. Good luck with the new one. I am a bit of a dinosaur, and don't fancy the air type personally. But, as your was free......
I may have a word with my man at the storage, haven't been over for a while. normally there's plenty of space but this time of year he takes in a lot of seasonal vans which cant be left on site for winter.
Dinosaur ? you and me both. I've had the Vango a couple of years. It takes OH ages to pump up. May have to get her an electric pump for her birthday.

Very dangerous precedent there. Get her a pump this time, and next time she'll want ironing boards, hoovers, step-ladders, steam mops; the list will be endless. Get the pump for yourself, and tell her you dont think she would be as quick as you, anyway. The awning will be up in a flash. And you can go back to buying crap presents.
