I used to do talks in schools and take a selection of Pythons in for the kids to handle as they were nice and docile. My nephew, who worked for the RSPCA used to rescue them from people who didnt know what they were doing.
It will not appear out of the toilet and will probably still be inside the couch, or behind a radiator or somewhere else warm in the house.
A 5 footer will manage a big rat, nothing more.
We did have a 12 foot female Burmese python that was more than capable of taking a dog, but if these are rare in the uk, and if well fed will not be interested. She is now 16 foot long and lives on a city farm, and goes round schools as a teaching aid. Snakes eat when they need to, they do not just fancy a snack.
also Pythons do not jump out from behind furniture, fangs poised ready to devour anything in sight.
they cant fly planes either....
all in all, they are right lazy buggers.
statistically, you have more chance of being bitten by your own dog than next doors snake
