I've wanted to see Beth Hart for years. Was gutted when her gig in Glasgow was cancelled in Feb 2020 (at the start of covid). Anyway, went to see her on Tuesday in Glasgow. Was absolutely blown away, was the best gig we've ever been to, and we've been to a lot. A true artiste with an amazing voice and totally interacted with the audience. Worth going to see if you can get tickets.
Thanks for the introduction - not a singer I’d heard before.
Thankfully the SEC Glasgow is outside the forthcoming Low Emission Zone - our diesel car is too old to go inside it, so our nights at the Concert Hall will rely on hourly trains - tedious.
“The initial penalty is £60… If someone enters the Low Emission Zone when they shouldn’t for a second time within a 90 day period, the penalty will double. The penalty will continue to double each time they do so.“

She's well worth checking out Fiona, very big in the states and collaborates with a lot of big names, not so well known here. We drove up on Tuesday but a nightmare getting home due to roadworks and diversions took us 2 hours to get from the Armadillo to Ayrshire.
I'm a bit of fan myself as well, when she wants to use it she has a voice that could carve a breeze block, or alternatively shine a butterfly wing.
Not a fan of Joe Bonamassa though - all a bit Clapton for me, and Samantha Fish - style over content. Less established is Chantel MacGregor - well worth looking up, although sadly she doesn't tour the South West much (she's a Yorkshire lass).

You're the only other person I'm aware of that knows who she is . I was truly gutted when her last gig was cancelled but boy, did she ever make up for it the other night. I was mesmerised. If I wasn't going on holiday I'd have tried to get tickets to see her at one of her English gigs again next week. And I've never said that after a show. Ironically, the colleague who introduced her to me did it through default as it was a Joe Bonamassa video she showed me many years ago but Beth Hart was singing on it. I feel the same about Joe Bonamassa - it doesnt come straight from the heart! I'll checkout Chantelle MacGregor, not aware of her. Thanks
Theres a whole other world out there that most have never heard of. I'll be holidaying in the south-west this year. And im from Yorkshire, if that counts. The singing voice may be noticably different though.
Down here we have the Lakeman Brothers, Roo Panes, Show of Hands, Mad Dog Mcrea, and Reef, amongst many, many others including the late great Adge Cutler and Cyril Tawney.
