As soon as you leave your home and drive, you are being tracked wether you have a phone or not. CCTV, ANPR, Traffic Monitoring for a start.
In those circumstances it is the car that is being tracked, not you. They often have no idea who is driving it. I agree about CCTV in the street though. It is impossible to be completely untracked today, but why make it any easier for them?
I definitely agree about several methods of payment though, although I can understand why meter companies are reluctant to accept cash. There is always the possibility of theft, and they have to pay someone to go round and empty the meters.
Colin, who is “they” and “them” ? Who’s actually “tracking” you every time you go out? If you are being “tracked” or “they” want to know where you have been, then you are a suspect under investigation. You have got to be very, very covert aware to move around undetected, and if you are……..Your up to no good. 👍
I doubt very much whether anybody is actually tracking everyone, the point was that they can should anyone want to. In the case of ANPR, the police can track a car and check whether it is taxed, MOT, and insured, but not who is driving it. They have to stop it to find that out.

Colin
