I have not heard from a new CL, Suffolk Heritage Coast south of Beccles. I find this strange as they have a website. Hope they are ok. Anyway, they are not getting my business, I am waiting to hear from a site at Carlton Colville (no email), which is nearer to SIL.
I like visiting the Transport Museum there. They have trams and trolley buses running.
Depending on your email client it can be useful to ask for a read receipt. I use MS Outlook and I can be informed that the email has arrived at the mailbox in question and when it has been read. I do wonder if some of these unanswered emails have gone into the junk folder, mind you that should be checked by the CL/Campsite
The same subject has been cropping up on this forum for a number of years so it is not a new phenomena. However it is very annoying when there is no response to an email sent a few days previously.
I still haven't heard anything from the site I emailed at the weekend. I don't really expect to now.
It is possible they have tried to phone me but I gave them a fake number as I wouldn't have answered it anyway, not recognising their number. I wouldn't have given them any number if their form would have submitted without one.
Two sites we have booked earlier in the year we waited over six weeks and no reply.
Much to my annoyance we ended up phoning both to be told ‘oh yes we have your booking everything’s fine’.
When asked how were we to know that as you hadn’t replied to email was told from both that they practically don’t bother with emails!
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.

I always find it easier to phone, as BT used to say it's nice to talk

Yes I agree it probably is easier to phone, but then you have no record of it and you probably have to go online to pay anyway these days. With a memory like mine, after a couple of days I probably wouldn't remember who I had phoned anyway.
I finally had a reply from Suffolk Heritage Coast, but in the meantime I had booked the site at Carlton Colville which is easier to get to and more convenient.
We check our email every few hours and always reply asap. I hope you told the site why you booked elsewhere so they can improve the situation. Or were they full anyway and just not bothered about the response time?
I really can't understand why anyone would take 3 days to reply to an email. What about all the other emails that would have come in meanwhile? Or do they just not get that many and couldn't be bothered to reply sooner?
I don't know Colin, even if they were away they would have had access to email surely? I did say we would come and look at their site, but I think they want to do a guided tour, too much faff!
