I use Diabetes.co.uk forum. It is an excellent website, much better than diabetes UK official site.
I put weight on by looking at carbs. I am carb intolerant/resistant T2 diabetic diet controlled for the last 10 years. keto and low carb are not fad diets at all, it is a fantastic way to control diabetes. I put weight on and my sugar levels creep up if my carb intake rises. If I reduce back down again so does everything else.
If any one wants evidence that keto or low carb diets work go on the website I mentioned.
cereals, starchy foods and carbs not ideal for us. There are loads of foods to choose from does not have to be boring. The proof that it works is in the blood profile. The best way to maintain diabetes is by testing.

I know this will diverse slightly ,but I have been on OMAD for about 10 years, And can say without hesitation that it has been for me and my wife a life changing improvement in our lives. Neither of us are over weight and feel incredibly healthy for our years. I recently had teeth implants done and was advised to have at least one additional meal a day at least until I have finished healing. I am looking forward to be back on one meal a day, I feel that this suites me best.

Each to their own but unless I was really, really, really ill and had to for medical reasons I'd find one meal a day a totally joyless experience. :-)
