I just read that Kate Garraway's husband has died. RIP Derek. What a terrible time he had.

A good piece on the BBC lunchtime news today. He did indeed have a terrible time after Covid, as did his family who cared for him at home latterly.
-------------
2024 = 20 sites / 41 nights. 2023 = 9/23. 2022 = 13/35. 2021 = 11/29. 2020 = 4/20. 2019 = 13/35. 2018 = 20/33. 2017 = 10/22. 2016 = 19/33. 2015 = 15 sites / 27 nights. Didn't count 1976 to 2014.

Its hard to think of anyone having a worse time of it. Must be a blessing in disguise. I wouldn't have wanted his existence - which is what it boiled down to in the end.

Very sad, but when someone whose health has been so utterly destroyed dies, those left behind must feel a mix of grief and relief.
