Very sad, I feel for his family. I liked his programmes and Symi is a beautiful small island that we visited many years ago. I'm guessing that maybe he fell and possibly banged his head? I expect we will find out more later.
It’s very sad news. I use clips from a lot of his programmes as discussion starters in my lectures and he always comes across as a really nice person. In one of the clips I use, he talks about his children who are grown up now, but it feels like they are a close family so I’m sure this will be devastating for them all.
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Yes, I've been following it, and really hoped that it wouldn't have a sad ending, it's absolutely awful. To think he just set off to walk back and never arrived, I really feel for his wife and the rest of his family.
RIP Michael.
I respected him for his radio & tv programmes. We’ve both lost weight following his 5:2 diet, the way he cured his own Type 2 Diabetes.
He just took a wrong turn on his walk back, he almost made it back safety, according to his wife. Tragic.
I was hoping he would have been found alive and well; and was sad to hear about his passing, R.I.P..

He walked in the wrong direction, was he disoriented or was it deliberate to test himself I wonder? It's a great pity, I feel for his family and friends.
It was very hot indeed, 35-40°C. He’d need plenty of water to prevent dehydration & what dehydration does to mind & body. CCTV (found too late) showed him collapsing behind the wall by the pub. So near, yet so far. He was dead before he was declared missing.
His legacy is the very many people who benefited from his advice, some crediting him with saving their life. A very sad loss.
