Hi. Can anyone recommend a security camera please.
We would position it under the eaves of our bungalow.
Needs to be battery and we would like to see it on our phone.
We look at cameras on Amazon and we have no idea what they do.
Cheers Len
Have a look at Blink cameras on AMAZON. They battery powered. We've had one for over a year. No problem yet. It works really well. No fees just put it up away you go. WiFi. We bought ours which is two cameras. £100.
Had a Ring spotlight cam which can be battery or mains. Only installed it last December but has already stopped recording videos. Returned it for a full refund. Now have a TP Link TAPO which works off mains but can get battery models. The TP Link less than half the price, better quality picture and no subscription to pay as video stored on a SIM card. With the TPLink if motion is detected near caravan it notifies me on my phone and I can rotate the camera from my phone and zoom to capture all activity. I can also sound the alarm and also switch speaker to tell anyone to leave or ask them questions. While away from home informs me with pictures of all activity. Can be set to record only when motion detected or continuously 24 hours a day.

Cheers for replies, but I am mega confused. What does wireless mean?
All I want is a battery operated camera.
Help!!!! Lol

You said you wanted to see the camera view on your phone - that’s where the wireless comes in, as far as I know.
If you want to log in from outside Bluetooth range, from France say, it may have to be plugged in but I might be very wrong - others will have this arrangement & can advise what they do.
I use Reolink Go Plus with a small pv panel for work. The ones I use are 3g/4g with a smarty SIM card at £5 a month. They can be installed anywhere there is a mobile phone signal, and the pv panel means the battery stays charged even in the winter. The activation alerts are easily customisable for animals, humans or vehicles which reduces the number of alerts as required.
I put one in my caravan awning or tent when I'm on a campsite and it works great. Surprising the number of furry creatures that wander into the awning during the night!

When I had the bike, I had a TP link tapo mounted inside looking through the window. Very good recognition technology and good vision through the glass. Mains powered.
Only think was that the app kept notifying me at every movement or sound. Had to tweak the notifications.

I bought a IHOXTX DF 220 not expensive, battery powered, charged via supplied solar panel. Links with home router and so I can see the image on my phone.

It explains everything and stops you falling in to the common trap of thinking the higher the MP of the camera means better images.
Along with having the cameras high up.
If you want to capture faces all my cameras are at 7 foot.
If you can afford "IP cameras" get them
I have dahua IP cameras and even the police comment on the quality of the images.
Sorted. Thanks for all your help. Bought 2 for £80 off Amazon.family sorted it so we can watch our gardens on phone. Jobs a good one. Thanks everyone. Len
