Hoping you clever people can help
iPad was working fine yesterday, no problem
. It’s 6/7 yrs old
This morning it won’t switch on or charge, it is dead
Tried different cables plugs etc
The cables and plugs work ok with iPhone
Cleaned charging port, there is as no debris in it .
In Spain currently
Any suggestions please

Oh dear, hopefully someone will advise Maybe try in a cafe. We did that when our car sat nav started speaking Swedish ( in Italy) a very young man sorted it out.

If it has totally discharged, you may need to leave it on charge for some time (20-30 mins) before it will restart.

Worth trying. may then need to be re booted.

Could you borrow another charger.. ours did this and we discovered the charger was faulty as it didn't work with phone when that needed charging....

Tried everything suggested here,elsewhere and on Youtube.
Found a repair shop 45 mins away, left it with him.Returned later and told it would be 120 euros, or more. My poor Spanish and his poor English was a bit of a barrier It is 6 years old, decided to go elsewhere and buy a new one. £330

You’re sorted now, but take the old one to an Apple Store when you get home because it sounds like a dead battery, and they’re replaceable. Happened to an iPod (remember those?) when it overheated, I’d left it in the sun.
OH has hundreds of photos on his iPad, has just increased his monthly fee for iCloud storage.

Park the ipad problem until you get home Jsparks201148. You live in Stockton and we are in Yarm so no great distance. We're back home end of September so we can maybe hook up and I can remonstrate with the offending iPad if you wish.
