Well robbing Reeves must have had ours cos it aint in our bank accounts.

The letter I had about it said that it would be paid some time before the end of January. However, we have had ours.

We don’t get any £10 up here, but we get things like free prescriptions so I’m not complaining. SNP stopped charging for them as they said it was “a tax on ill health”. Just wish they’d lose some surplus civil servants to offset what it must cost.

Of course we get it up here. At least Mrs.L and I do. I expect your's will be along soon.

For anyone who would like to give it a look there is a YouTube Channel called "Ali lives well on Less" She is a retired teacher but does not yet qualify for a State Pension and has a monthly income of less than £800.

I’ll look out for it, thanks for alerting me. Honestly never noticed it on the bank statements.

I'll have to give that a look. I can't see how anyone could live on that little, that would barely cover our rent and we live in a housing association house. A private rent on a house like this around this way would be well over £800, probably nearer £1,500 a month. What about all the other expenses?

It's been a beef of mine for years. Many people I have mentioned it to don't even realise they get it! There must be very few people to whom £10 makes a real difference. It needs to be cancelled and the money used for something else to benefit those who really need help.

Either that or increased to what it would cost to buy the same amount of groceries today. In other words, around £200 if you shop in Waitrose.

I think she owns her own property which I think she explains. We are fortunate that we are mortgage free but can appreciate anyone paying rent is in a more difficult position.

Strange they took the winter fuel allowance from a lot of us retired folk, but not the £10. Don't give robber Reeves any ideas!
Promise not to spend it all at once.
