I just have one of those small round free-floating devices that's capable of pushing out quite an impressive jet in good sunlight. In poor light it just goes 'plut plut plut' very quietly so it's for summer use only really. I had to rig up an underwater frame to hold it in the centre of the small round container pond, otherwise it floated to the edge and squirted water over the patio and I had to keep topping the pond up. The sound of sprinkling water in the garden on a sunny day is delightful though.
------------- Always edited for sloppy typing - when I spot it!

Hi.
We fancy one of those solar water features, but we are not sure which solar pumps are the best.
Any recommendations would be appreciated.
Cheers
Len
Biggest issues are not much sun in winter and filter gets blocked up constantly. However they do look nice, but we would never have another one.
