Nothing but positives for the Kia Sorento - now on our 3rd (1 manual and 2 automatic) 2.2 diesel.
The 7 year warranty is very reassuring, even though we have only ever made 1 minor claim. Excellent tow car and good mpg considering the weight.
If you are considering the Sportage, I believe from this year the diesel is discontinued.

We have a 66 plate Sorento and it is a great towcar. If you buy from new, the 7 year warranty is excellent. We have only had 1 problem with it since we bought it and that was in year 6 when the turbo actuator failed. The car was still under warranty and was fixed with no quibbles.
There is only one small thing that annoys me about it and that is the location of the spare wheel so not something that would put me off buying another one. Rather than being in a cutout under the boot, it is slung under the car. We bought an extra anti theft device which gives a bit of peace of mind but I would prefer to have it under the boot. I am assuming this is not possible in the Sorento due to the 3rd row of seats that fold down into the space where a spare wheel would usually fit.
We would definitely buy another one.

Bought a 72 plate last Septemberr. Pleased with in preference to my unreliable Audi Q5 ( long story!) only done 6k miles in it so far. Problem with the AdBlue in March was fixed under warranty - parts took a couple of weeks bu cr was deemed ok to drive. Courtesy car for day it was fixed - 5 hours in workshop plus parts - they seemed oddly uncommunicative as to the actual parts but I know one was a sensor.

They may have been deliberately cagey about parts and system fault, keeping details away from users, as not exactly an unknown hack for people to bypass the system to save having to use Ad-Blue at all, no point in educating even more people in the ways and means to do so!

Springside Kia no longer exists.

Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
