hi some one on here told me about removing a front grill on my car when the tow bar has been fitted, could you explain to me again about it

hi pamela yes when a genuine towbar is fitted there is a mod on front grill to give more air flow to help with cooling, all main dealers will now know this

Hi Sammy, we have always got our from doncaster tpw bare centre, they have fitted about 3 of my cars, and has you know it cost us every 3 years they have given me a price  £269, and its a lot cheaper than vauxhall, i mean to have to pay out every 3 years for a new towbar, need to not pay the earth for one and its a witter

Yes we have the same car and are trying to sort a towbar at the moment....

we have a small cover which clips into the back door(boot) and stops anyone looking in the boot, when I collected the car it was on the back seat....it stays in place and stops anyone looking in the boot...even with boot cover open, its a half moon shape..

all i can say is if you use a mobile fitter he will no doubt not even know about the MOD

it is your choice as you only have car 3 yrs you may well be fine no problems, but if you have any overheating problems and the garage suggest it was down to not having the mod done they may not cover any fault under warranty and end up costing you !

also make sure price you have been quoted is for a fully fitted price ! yes may sound odd to say, but it has to be programed to the car and a lot of mobile fitters dont have the eqipment to program them, fit the bar and then tell customer they will have to go to a dealer to get it programed

as for the cover in the boot, yes there is one in all the inside tailgate your only problem could be is that you have now had car a few mths and how can you prove it was not there when picked up

thank andy for all ur advice, we are not having a mobile man fit it, we are having a  v .a. t reg      towbar company, he has the note that i copied from u about the cooling and he knows what we mean and going to sort it,

Oh never thought about that, about having rge car a few month and they might not give us one now, but because of all the other stuff going on, i dint notice it missing

glad you got he tow bar sorted Someone, but dont forget to sort the cooling bit ok

Justa quick note, did you get the front grill sorted as when we had our tow bar fitted nothing was said about removing any.we go away in a few weeks andI am seriously thinking we should go to dealer where we had car from and ask....
