Anyone give me a ball park figure I should expect to pay to get a tow bar with electrics for towing a small aluminium trailer, car is a Skoda Fabia 08 plate. Any suggestions for who does it in or around Swansea in South Wales.

I was quoted £400 for detachable towbar, and full 13 pin electrics and some extras that disable the parking sensors, fog lights, etc.
That was to supply and fit and for cutting the bumper etc on a VW Golf.

If you want standard 7 pin electrics then its usually cheaper.

Fixed towbar from £80 fitted with 7 pin electrics probably another £80 - £100.

£180 all in ?

250+ its about 80 - 130 depending on which tow-bar you want and around 100- 150 fitting. plus electrics which vary a fair bit depending on what you wan standard n type is about 25 quid to full 13 pin at about 45quid.

the fitting is the big variable depends whether they have to remove or cut bumper.

I got the Mondeo fixed flange one fitted December/January, When they were quiet. £150 with single 7 pin electrics.

Simply job on my car, Just requires a small hole in the undertray, Not visible unless you crawl under the car.

I got a flange tow bar put on a Renault Scenic 08, with 7 pin electrics. It cost me £265.00.

Thought I'd share my results so far for flange tow bar with single 7 pin elecrics:

Brittania Tow Centre (Swansea)        £195
United Towbars Wales (mobile service) £199
Bankfarm Trailers (Swansea)           £260
Sinclair Skoda (Swansea)              £679

I did ask Skoda if this was a polite way of saying they weren't interested in this sort of work giving examples of other quotes but he assured me that wasn't the case.

Just cost us 200 pound to fit towbar to astra not bad Renault was 260 pounds three year ago.

managed 285 for an 07 ford focus with twin electrics.

tried a few local companies but towsure still came up cheapest by a good 30 quid

I bought a tow bar for my car the other week. so many places charge silly money, I paid £93, was quoted £250 to £350 mark. It took me 90 mins to fit and with out a ramp, Its not a big deal cutting the bumper, the cut is under neath and not seen, oggie_outdoor on ebay, your tow bar is £105,comes with fitting instructions,They are easy to fit.
