I brought an 07 sant fe cdx+ three weeks ago ,not had a chance to tow with it yet , like the driving position and the fuel usage is not too bad around town bearing in mind it's a heavy car .
My van at the moment only weighs 1168 all up so it's not a big challenge for the car , but I wanted to future proof the car as the next van will be heavier as we want fixed bunks .
They hold there value well due to being a good tow car , I managed to find my one that has not had a tow bar fitted before, main thing for me was full service history and mileage , and it took me a while find the right car .
If you need anymore info ask away !!
Good luck with your search, I had my dealer fit my Towbar which I was glad about because the spare is underneath the car and you have to drop both rear boxes and the spare to get to the mounting points .
Also it's a fixed ball and had no problems with the parking sensors picking it up .
Just bought a 2012(62) Santa Fe don't get it till next weekend. First job is the towbar, going for a Westfalia detachable.

How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
I love my santa fe 10, great round town and easy to drive and excellent tower. My van is 1500kg loaded and it has no issue towing it. I dont think you will find many without a tow bar but there must be some out there.
Sister in law had a freelander and lovely car but has been back and forth to garage a few times
Hi,
I tow with a 08 Santa Fe 2.7 petrol CDX+ with a gas conversion. We tow a Unicorn Valencia with out any problems 1565 kg, it is stable and very comfy. I have just had the MTPLM increased by 35kg, dead easy to do.

Sounds as if the Santa fe is the one people like, can't seem to find a high spec one tho e.g front and rear parking sensors sat Nav, the premium seems to have rear sensors but not front
Didn't realise there was one fitted with front sensors as standard. It's the Premium I'm getting, can't wait.

Will Boab ever realise that people actually want to but 4X4's just because they like them. I suspect not.

No not really, im just being practical, you go and buy a 4x4 just because its big and will tow, but tend to forget the rest of the year, your lumbered with it and the added expense, when an average every day saloon or estate could tow and be used the rest of the year
