Haha so basically blinds down to hide illegals, granny and to stop mosey buggers eyeballing your stuff. Thanks for the laughs folks, Alpina, I live in East Anglia so hope to see you around lol
It depends if you want to stop for a quickie on the way.
You'll probably notice that couples who have been married for over 5 years usually leave the blinds open.

Blimey Dave, that's almost double to what we've been married but I'm in love with two girls actually. One's the wife and the others the caravan which I prefer as it doesn't complain or answer back and can trade it in for a younger model when I want.
On our Sprite, there is a little picture on the window indicating that blinds should not be down when moving - I seem to recall a similar comment that it weakens the springs to have the blinds down when moving.
Blinds open when towing for us as others say something to do with not ruining the springs in the blinds I suppose they could fly open if you hit a big enough pot hole and get damaged or looking at some of our roads it doesnt have to be a big pot hole as it is one pot hole after another bit like driving over an extra large old fashion wash board

In summer we drive with blinds down to keep the interior cool. If it dazzles other drivers then they should not have been so close.
It also is convenient for a quickie with the illegal immigrants as you go through East Anglia.
