All relative I suppose. I am sure that there are people who could easily afford those cars, but on the other hand many of the outfits I hear about regularly on this site are way beyond our means.
We have a 1988 Elddis caravan, and a 2000 Volvo V70 as a towcar. If someone gave us a brand-new caravan, and a Range Rover or BMW X5, would they provide us with any more enjoyment? Somehow I doubt it, as money isn't everything. We bought our car to get us around, and our caravan for enjoyment, so neither was seen as an "investment".
one day that 95k car will be 10k same as all range rovers, How much was your ML new ??
you only Have a look on any campsite at what's sitting around, new car and caravan can easily hit 40K, that's a lot of money to find on top of your mortgage or rent, then you have service, storage & insurance to pay for.
Next door neighbour had to leave her brand new BMW X6 half a mile away from home on the main road last week due to snow. Our 02 Rav 4 managed it easily every day.
It's all relative to someone. Many people can afford such cars. Probably don't use them to tow caravans but in a very few years these vehicles will have suffered cliff like depreciation on the used market. Then us paupers may want to consider them.
To be honest it's no worse than the caravan club tow car of the year offerings very often.
Personally I have always found pretty much most 2ltr tdi family cars do the job adequately for most normal modest caravans.
I don't doubt that there are many people who can afford and will spend £95k on a car, but somehow doubt that those same people will be into caravanning.

i know someone who paid £75000 for a range rover new on a 07 plate, went to change it end of last year for a new range rover £93000,and got £8500 as a trade in price,it had only done 65000 miles

One does not see many top of range cars like Range Rovers etc much older than about 04reg. I suppose they are either scrapped of perhaps exported?
Really?
Don't know where you've looked, but I see plenty.

£1.02 per mile in depreciation. And he bought another??
In my experience Steve, most people who have that amount of money to spend on a car, simply don't concern themselves with trivialities like depreciation. Money is no object when it comes to buying what they want. It's a very different world they live in.
As Scarletsfan says "I don't doubt that there are many people who can afford and will spend £95k on a car, but somehow doubt that those same people will be into caravanning." They will stay in top hotels wherever they go.
