Hi, we are thinking of buying a front towing cover for our new Bailey.Any comments good or bad would be appreciated. We have looked at Pro-Tec and Specialized Covers on internet, seems going rate for a decent on is about £160 - £200. Thanks in anticipation

We bought a Specialized at the October show last year. I had read a few negative reviews about Pro-Tec so opted against them. We got the tailored Elite Pro. Yes it expensive but over the life of our van it isn't too bad. I see a lot of universal covers on van and they do move. Ours doesn't really budge. Plus the padding is really thick so if anything hits the van it should be well protected.
Just a couple of points to remember. They don't cover the front upper window and you shouldn't leave them on when in storage. Some people have had scratches using covers so you've got to make sure the front is clean before fitting.

I fancy getting one as well for my bailey because last time t towed the front of my van was filthy with mud, tar spots, bugs, and even soot from my car exhaust. But at £160 it's a bit of a luxury especially as I bought a full cover for £70.

Personelly i would not have a cover of any sort.Especially from pro-tec.Better off just cleaning it

There are always a selection for sale on Ebay all different brands and also universal for a fraction of the cost new.

I think there is an issue with clingfilm reacting with the caravan windows, if its on for a while?

We don't leave it on, goes on when we leave and comes off when we arrive.

Hi pee jay, it takes no more than 5 minutes. I can fit it on my own but we usually tackle it with two just for ease. As its really padded it almost stands when left on the A frame leaning against the van. As such it's easy to get one side without it falling down and wrapping over said A frame.
The first time was a bit confusing as we'd never used one before but you seen get used to. It comes in its own storage bag which it returns to with ease.

We bought a ProTec front cover direct from them, it was a cancelled order so got a very good discount. Here is a video of their covers, the front cover is about the 2.47 mark. After the initial fit it takes about 10 minutes to put on. just make sure you have clean windows before putting on and do not leave on while in storage.

Don't have one just use some waterless cleaner and good microfiber cloths.
Personally, they would need to go higher up for me to consider one.
