BRink was the manufacturer of the entire kit, and not that I'm aware I think the bumper is the same across models , I will have to check the brackets later on but I know for sure the electrics are high enough out the way.
You say that you have fitted the Brink detachable towbar yourself in which case I take it that the bumper cut was also undertaken by yourself as well?
If so, did you use a template to make the cut in order for the aperture to be the correct dimensions?
HI yeah bunper cut was done by me, I've contacted the supplier who have said even though the dimensions that I've cut it too are exact I may infact have to remove More on the edges with a file.
Just wanting to check if this is a common issue of the hatch fitting poorly or if it is a simple case of slightly enlarging the hole
In that case I would get an old piece of thin cardboard and cut out the same size aperture that you cut out in the bumper and see how the cover fits in relation to it. All you are doing is an exact copy (a template) of it and any alterations can be done on the cardboard till the cover fits perfectly. Do the alterations on the cardboard till the two parts marry up then cut the bumper aperture to the template. That will leave you with a profesional job without any mistakes being made on the car bumper. It's much cheaper to cut another piece of cardboard than it is to replace the whole plastic bumper through errors that can easily be avoided.
