Having had first tow with Kuga 2.0 ST Line X AWD Auto very impressed. Having towed caravans for 50+ years, and the last 20 years auto Sorento and Santa Fe auto which have been very good tow cars covering thousands of miles. The Kuga with its 8 speed auto rotary selector dial equally matched both previous motors, but is giving far more MPG towing and solo. Solo extra 19 mpg and towing extra 8 mpg.

That's impressive!
What is the actual mpg you are getting? We have a Sorento automatic and think our 52mpg solo on a decent run and up to 32mpg towing a 1550 van is good!
Yes ours is matching yours. The Santa Fe Auto over 8 years ownership 33 solo and 24 towing and often lower, was the best ever we got. The motor was main dealer serviced every year and mileage still only under half the average for its age. So performance was not due to lack of maintenance. So you can see why well pleased. Both towing the same weight caravan.

Our Santa Fe manual has showed 49mpg pootling around solo and highest 30 towing. Its has improved with more miles on it. It's only done 40,000 to date.

Wouldn't mind getting those figures with my diesel auto X Trail but then it is 15 years old and has done 132k miles. However on the plus side having our caravan on the back hardly seems to make any noticeable difference to MPG. It does around 35mpg whether towing our caravan or not.
That would still be a good buy compared with alterative tow cars. Sorento and Santa Fe same age about 10 grand more and another extra £350 a year on top of the £180 until 6 years old

We asked about a new diesel but the dealer couldn't say if they could get one. New model out next year so production will probably have stopped.
My wife found a couple on Carwow. We are happy with ours for the moment low mileage and immaculate.

I got a great deal on a 21 reg Santa Fe. Registered May 21, bought June 21, 100 miles on the clock, and very pleased with it. It replaced a 14 reg which I traded in for the new one.
The dealer even delivered the new one and took away the old one.

You'd notice a significant difference with the 8 speed box, have seen 49mpg solo!!
Came home last week after 2 weeks away with caravan and during stay the Kuga did just over a 1000 miles solo and average was 52 mpg. Towing there and between sites and back home 32.5 mpg
