Personally, I'd have gone for the 3 litre, but thats just my preference for big comfy cars with lots of toys. (gettin old I suppose)

But anyway, enjoy your new car. Whatever model, you won't go far wrong with a Vectra.

Yeah, I'm getting old too (64 on Sunday) but fast cars still spark some excitement in me but this has to be tempered with common sense.

This will be the first car I have ever owned in 46 years of driving that has come anywhere near to flamboyant.

Going up to Huntingdon this morning to set the whole deal up. Will take delivery of it on February 1st.

Rock on............!!!!!!

I know what you mean Vic. It's the main reason I won't part with my beloved VW. Sure there are better vans on the market these days but I can still have some "real" fun with it.

How many other 2.8l V6 petrol 200bhp delivery vans are there out there

Enjoy oyur new car mate.

A local garage has done its Transit up Ivan, it is a total animal now and I reckon it must be pumping a huge BHP as they have put a Cossy engine in it lol.  Alloys, suspension upgrade the works, you sit next to it at the lights and just let it go it is so quick.

That's the advantage of mine Ali. As it was an ex fire brigade van, it just looks like any other red VW Transporter. The cab looks like it is the most basic model available. It literally has just the bare minimum equipment to operate, it has plain steel wheels with no wheeltrims.  It's only distinguishing feature is a tiny badge on one of the back doors, a VW logo which is over inscribed with the words "800 Special"

After it's trip to Austria earlier this year, I can most definitely say that I know what the "special" stands for

Would love to meet a Transit Cozzie on a dark night.

(on the autobahns of course)
