Yes, that what i was told.
Older flange tow balls didn't have the correct distance from the bumper.
The Alko nose could touch the bumper when hitching or extreme cornering.
So it's not the actual ball, rather how close it is to the bumper.
I think Alko state the distance from the centre of the ball to the bumper should be a minimum of 67mm.
Tow-equipe have said that all current swan necks exceed the Alko distance requirements. (EC-Directive 94/20 DIN 74058 60mm)
