Im the guy who told shrimping towbar what i recommend he needed, I saw the damage caused by not using the shock link and helped repair the damage caused to my friends caravan which was a 1996 Ace and not an old bone shaker it was a tidy van, we had to fit 25mm ali angle inside all the lockers both sides above the wheels, the damage crept up on him each time we went away (which was most weekends ) we were going to change the shock absorbers aswell but were advised to just use the shock link the damge starts by the screws elongating around the brackets and eventually falling out you also get black marks around them aswell once we had bolted the ali in we never had the problem again
Since he fitted it we get a lot of people asking about it on sites and when they find out how much they cost they choke and walk away, which is much the same answer as some of the replys on here that its a cost that for 7 or 8 trips out a year its hardly worth it but in my experiance a worth while cost
Hello mate! To add to this, when i spoke to your friend about his experience i found it totally believable and will definetly subscribe to the shocklink if we get a pick-up in a few months, thanks for your help. Can't be too careful, eh.
