We put up with their snoring in the van. Tried one in the bedroom annexe inner tent with son but she nearly destroyed it digging out - big dog!
We also take an XL crate for guaranteed security in the day as they loveit in there. Especially if we cover the sides and roof with sheets-towels so they can't see whats happening around them, then they relax.
They would escape from an awning in less than a minute, my pair can open doors and cupboards.
