All good advice....

I had a similar thing when someone ran in the back of my Wifes Fiesta. The only visible damage was a cracked number plate and a tiny scratch on the bumper. The guy who's fault it was told her it was only a scratch and tried to to fob her off with money there and then. My wife quite rightly told him no and that she would wait to decide what to do once I had seen he car and checked for hidden damage. When I checked it I found damage to the boot floor.

Had a call from the garage today to say that there would not be any excess to pay - called the insurance co tonight who confirmed that the third party had accepted liability. Just have to arrange for the car to be picked up and fixed now!

someone did this to me some years back.

I used to work in Porthmadog in North wales and used to have to cross the cobb with the  5p toll every morning and evening. I was waiting in the queue to pay my 5p and the lady behind was too busy scrabbling around for change to notice I had stopped and went straight into the back of me. I had a Mazda 626 with a towbar, cannot remember what car she had but the impact managed to do something with her front end and took her radiator out.

The only damage to mine was the bumper mounting brackets needed replacing.
