When using these other forums give them lots of detail about your car,eg. model, year, engine, gearbox etc

if the timing has slipped  due to the chain or tensioner the last thing you want to do is a compression test. these engines are very time consumimg to strip & rebuild also very costly.

the same engine is fitted to the transit & they have had major problems with the timing chain tensioner

i would say your best way forward is a reman engine from ford the possibilty of a close inspection of the dmf & clutch on strip down

this is a full days work

make sure you contact ford motor company s customer assistance centre & put your point of view across as this is NOT a common fault on mondeo car only the transit due to extreme harsh driveing conditions of the white van man
