Hi Paul (150pickup),

We have a Navara as well, and OH has just been looking at that exact model.  Did the kit work as well as the website makes out.  Did you really see an increase in your miles per gallon ?.  How much difference did it make to the towing

We averaged 23mpg in towing almost 2000 miles around France in the summer and will find it hard to believe that it could make a noticeable difference.

Hi The MPG if you drive normaly does increase by abot 4mpg but the extra power it gives you is the big bonus I traveled to Lake Como this year and spent most of the time in 6th gear up hills it was amazing.

Look on this site if you have not already as they give a discount for members

Sorry update. I tow a twin wheeler and got around 26mpg that was 4mpg better then last year when we went to Lake Garda with a single akle caravan.

Cheers Paul,

We tow a twin as well, a Bailey Loire.  And probably spend more time in fifth, or bouncing between fifth and sixth.

Looks like I will be putting an order in.

Thanks again

Plenty of tuning "chips" on ebay for £30 or less.

Bargain or what. Well actually NO

What you are actually buying is a 5p resistor, You wire this in place of your air intake temperature sensor making it a fixed value.
In some situations this may work but mostly it will be useless. They sell the same resistor for every make and model of car without knowing what the current sensors range is.

I started with a E -Bay one. Had to send it back Truck went into limp mode

We aslo did a test with one on a rolling road they claimed 215 bhp from the Nissan Navara it produced only an extra 5bhp I got more installing a KN filter extra 10bhp The DTE chip i have at the moment on the rolling road mid settings produced 198bhp Top setting produced 215bhp but the truck smoked when runing flat out.

Another quick note Nissan claim 175bhp on the 6 Trucks we had on the Rolling Road that day best was 151bhp??
