Just drive a modern Renault into a workshop with a headlight out and watch all the mechanics run!!!!!!!!

Change passenger side dipped headlight bulb,Mk2 laguna 2005.
Both sides are tricky and much of the work is done by feel alone as one cannot see inside the light unit. The passenger side is the least accessible but both sides are replaced in the same way.
1.Disconnect the battery retaining clip.(passenger side only)
2.Disconnect the battery terminals and remove the battery.
3.Disconnect the large multi cable junction which is in your way by lifting the red clip upwards until the junction block can be separated.
4.The bonnet cable can now be removed out of the way by pressing in the cable lugs on its support and pushing it out of the hole and thus out of your way.
5.The rubber cover over the light can now be remove by pulling it away from the light unit.
6.Disconnect the electrical cable junction block off the light by gently pulling it away from the bulb contacts.
7. Now comes the fairly difficult task of undoing the spring loaded retaining clip. You will not be able to see it but if you allow your fingers to follow the contours of the spring to the top it is just latches in to two small recesses. Gently push the top of the spring to the side until you feel it loosen and allow it to fall down.
8. Remove the bulb and replace with new bulb remembering not to touch the glass membrane.
9.Replace the spring in position and press to one side until the spring locks in again. It's a bit finicky but you will get there by playing around. Don't panic!
Replace all the removed parts.
It is easy to panic but once you have done the driver,s side or any of the other fixtures,it really is not that difficult.
Skoda Octavia, remove white nut on back, pull lever next to headlight , slide whole headlight forward, remove casing on back, change bulb, put casing back, slide headlight back in until it clicks , put nut back on
Great info Boab, must have missed the bit about a Laguna though.
