I had a new shape Passat estate 2.0tdi until last month when the dreaded injectors went. It had 101,000 miles and I had owned it a year and towed a couple of times with no problems. I was absolutely gutted but had read the early ones were prone to this. Anyhow got it fixed and got rid before something else failed and now on the look out for another car. Next one will be low mileage and possibly not a VW!
