do you have a budget in mind ???
Ideally I want to stay below 10,000 so it'll be 2003 models at best!

£10,000 for a 2003 model?

I only paid £2300 for a 2004 mondeo estate and that was 18 months ago. I wouldnt expect to pay over £5k on anything that old.

Not if she is going people carrier/4x4 route, they seem to hold their money quite well. Especially the likes of the landy.

How about the Kia Sedona, fairly inexpensive and huge.

Plus Jeremy Clarkson hates them so thats a bonus

The link below may help , choose the vehicle and caravan then compute the match with the go button . This one is a Disco , perfect . I suspect you are overloading the Galaxy and putting yourself at risk of points and large fines . I hope I am wrong , but , the Galaxy payload is small . Have you calculated the weight of all passengers and luggage you expect it to carry when towing ? The calculator will enable you to make an informed choice within legal requirements .

We have got rid of our Sharan this year and gone back to what we had before a Hyundai Trajet, 7 big seats and very comfy, Got a diesel auto and it tows brilliantly,

We hated the Sharan as it spent more time in the garage then on the road and we found it very low at the rear when towing (noseweight was fine I just think the bar seemed low even without the van on) Is your towbar on the galaxy a witter one? As ours was and it always seemed low.

When we change  next time will either be for a Kia Sedona or Hyundai i800 wish we hadn't sold our last hyundai.
