We had ours from new in 2011 until last year when it started to show its age at 140,000 miles. Air conditioning condenser went last year, after leaking for a while £400 ish to replace, we didn't bother. Two years previously the heater pipes that run underneath (they are made of mild steel and lightly pained) corroded through. £1500 for Hyundai parts. Some people replace them with plumbers copper pipe, we just blanked them off, then they corroded right at the top of the engine and were patched. Suspension bushes started to show signs of wear by scrubbing tyres out. Eventually we waved it goodbye as we don't need that many seats any more. I suspect some mincab driver is driving round in it now. As a towcar, great. I would echo 40 mpg best solo, unloaded. Mid 30s most of the time. Towing about 30 at best, but a good stable towcar. We had a five speed 170 PS model. we had a 1300 kg Adria, with A frame bike rack and four bikes on the roof of the car, and managed tours of France with no problem. I would also echo watch weights and your licence.
